A former member of the club Paul joined when he was 13 yrs old. After several years as a member he became a volunteer and was co-opted onto the Board of Management in the early 80s. After several years as the assistant Director (voluntary) Paul was appointed as the Director of the Belvedere Youth Club in 1990 on a part-time basis and then to the full time position in 1992.

Paul is a Graduate of NUI Maynooth and Trinity College Dublin.

In 2007 Paul was awarded the Humanitarian award at the Meteor Irish Music awards.
